This summer’s lineup will feature some of the biggest names in jazz, including Wynton Marsalis, Charlie Haden and Chick Corea. Other notable Elvis Costello, DJ Shadow, and India.Arie.
- Gentse Feesten (July 2008) A combination of four different festivals, this ten day celebration combines the best of music, theater and puppetry. Originally created in 1832 to celebrate the first anniversary of Belgian independence, Gentse Feesten is today one of Europe’s biggest and most popular cultural festivals.
- 10 Days Off (July 2008) Now in its 12th year, this festival is a ten day explosion of every type of electronic music imaginable. Get your groove on with techno, disco, funk and dubstep, or rock to the beats of house, minimal and drum n’ bass. One of the four official festivals of Gentse Feesten, 10 Days Off will feature three stages and over 100 DJs and live acts, including Mason, 4Hero, The Presets and Booka Shade.
